IVEPE-SEV accepting the invitation from the European Alliance for Apprenticeships (EAfA) was present and participated actively in the conference held in cooperation with the EU and the Basque Government in San Sebastián (Spain) on 14 and 15 September 2017.
The aim of the conference was to discuss ways to improve apprenticeship systems in vocational training centers and methods of aligning them with the labor market for developing and upgrading the future of Vocational Education and Training centers all over Europe.
There was an interesting presentations and analysis of the latest developments. Useful conclusions emerged from the changes/reforms carried out in the Vocational Education and Training Centers in Spain, with particular emphasis on the Dual-VET model implemented in the Basque Country and on the promotion of work-based learning (WBL).
Part of the conference's parallel actions was visiting Petronor, member of EAfA, that is an award-winning business for its students' apprenticeship and internship policies, as well as Tknika - the Center for Research and Innovation for Vocational Training.
